Director of TGM WRI at the World Water Forum
Bali, Indonesia (May 18-25, 2024) – Bali, Indonesia, hosted the 10th World Water Forum this year. One of the main topics was the sustainability of water resources, which has become an urgent problem for the world. Global water consumption has increased sharply mainly with population and industrial growth. On the other hand, the availability of quality and sustainable water is increasingly difficult due to environmental degradation and climate change.
This important event was also attended by representatives of the Czech Republic, including the director of our institution, who met here with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr. Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Indonesia Jaroslav Doleček or Mr. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia) . The discussion was focused, among other things, on problems related to water in Indonesia and the Czech Republic, and there was agreement on the importance of departmental research precisely for the effective solution of these problems.
