Study of input of pesticides and other micro-pollutants into water reservoirs in the Morava nad Dyje river basins
How many of these substances pass through wastewater treatment plants and where do they accumulate?
Surface water and groundwater contamination with various substances is an important research subject at TGM WRI. Thanks to the involvement of many experts, it is possible to detect a wide range of different types of pollution that occur in water, whether they are macro-components (e.g. nutrients) or micropollutants, including the so-called new (CEC) contaminants – pesticides, drugs, hormones, drugs, radioactive substances, and microbial pollution. We deal with the issues of occurrence and behaviour of these substances in the hydrosphere, identification of their sources, and develop determination methods.
