Historical use of the territory and its importance for the future protection of important species along the Bavarian-Czech border
What is causing the decline in populations of rare and endangered plant and animal species along the border?
A wide range of human activities have a negative effect on surface water and groundwater and significantly affect their status as well as the status of related aquatic ecosystems. Assessing the significance of these impacts and their effect on aquatic ecosystems is the basis for proposing effective measures and continuous improvement of water status in the Czech Republic. Good water status is also linked to the diversity of biological communities, which are at a certain level of balance under natural conditions. This balance can be disrupted by a number of influences, which can change the overall biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems.
